MUSIC project
MUSIC is a project designed to offer functionalities and processing pipelines dedicated to Cardiology. It is made up of several modules, including the MUSICardio desktop software.
Tools and multi-modality
Segmentation, visualization, filters, registration or mesh processing tools are provided. Many imaging modalities are handled: CT, MRI, meshes or clinical 3D electroanatomical mapping data.
Treatment improvement
MUSICardio offers imaging algorithms for diagnosis and prognosis, and pipelines dedicated to the guidance of atrial or ventricular interventions. The application is used to guide scar-related ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation at LIRYC IHU and in the MUSIC consortium.
A bonus for Research
MUSICardio allows the analysis of multi-parametric data sets from the IHU teams (structural, mechanic, hemodynamic, electrical, etc), and to interface with simulation platforms such as SOFA, CEPS, CARP in order to develop patient-specific modelisation/simulation strategies.
Consortium
An international consortium of VT centers has been built. Hospitals upload and anonymise their data on a web-portal. Our operators process the data and send results to the centers. It allows cardiologists to visualize catheters in realtime inside a virtual patient-specific heart. This has led to the creation of an international registry of cardiac pathologies with imagery and electrophysiology data.
Our team
The MUSIC project has been pursued by a multidisciplinary team involving physicians, researchers, software developers, and medical imaging operators.
